Phase-2: July Update – 1
Construction Update: July 5th
Due to long weekend, there was minimal activity on the construction front to report this week. In the current structure, the openings for skylight all the way up three stories is clearly visible. We can literally feel and comprehend the actual size of this magnificent temple, which is breathtaking. More updates are coming soon.
Phase-2: June Update
Construction Update
A magnificent temple for our deities Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundara will manifest in the heart of Naperville. The temple is coming up on a 2.89-acre plot with an approximate 23,000 sq. ft built-up area, where the deities can be worshipped in a befitting manner. For the convenience of visitors and devotees, this temple will have facilities for bhakti-yoga studio, classrooms for children’s education, gift shop, multi-purpose hall, commercial kitchen, a larger parking lot and much more.
The temple has a core congregation of sixty families dedicated to the ISKCON Founder Acharaya His Devine Grace Srila Prabhupada’s mission. These families engage in serving the deities, cooking, cleaning, receiving visitors and many more services.
It is inspiring to see more visitors coming to the temple and partaking in activities.
With your co-operation, the construction is going on very smoothly.

This is a community project in which you are a stake holder. Getting involved in this project and giving a gift to the future generations. In the Narasimha Puruna it is stated that “one who builds or helps to build a beautiful temple for the Lord Sri Krishna will be freed from all sinful reactions and will enter Vaikuntha planets”. Hence, we encourage you to contribute and participate in “once in a life time” opportunity and help construct the temple.

Temple construction phase-1 update (Parking lot, water, gas pipeline)
ISKCON Naperville had begun its site work with full force in mid-June 2018. We are pleased to inform you that 90% of this first phase of work will be completed by November 2018.
We have created 131 parking spaces by creative civil engineering work thereby meeting city requirements without going for variance. City water has been brought to ISKCON Naperville center and water connection has been made to the existing building. The old well is getting shut down by the county. New sewer system work has been successfully completed. Awaiting the upcoming Krishna temple, the new upgraded transformer work has been completed. The existing gas line has been moved deeper and preliminary work for future upgrade has been put in place. Final grading work for landscaping is getting done so that planting can happen early spring next year. All the old trees were removed in the beginning of site preparation and new ones will be planted as per city requirements. Currently retention wall is being built on the creek side and the fence work on it will be accomplished by next week. New sign for the center is also under process.
Two BMP (Best Management Practice) areas have been created and arrangements have been made for its maintenance and reporting to the Du page county for next three years. Vittala Brick project with benefactor names around the circular drive way is under preparation. In order to facilitate public participation and to be a part of the new Krishna temple, we started a very affordable program for the community called “Vittala Brick Program”. To participate in this once in a life time opportunity and to engrave your name on the bricks please visit www.iskconnaperville.org.
As promised, by Krishna’s Grace and with all your cooperation, we are able to finish the first phase of the site work within 5 month time period. We would like to thank you for your continuous support.
